Sarsalı Bay

Sarsala Bay
It is a large bay between Martin Burnu in the north and Boz Burun in the south, entering the west. The end of the bay ends with a wide beach section. The surrounding hills are covered with pine trees.
There is a pier extending into the sea to the south of the beach. This pier is a small pier where commercial boats transfer.
Sarsala Bay is 16 kilometers away from Dalaman by road. Taxis wait on the shore. It is the closest point to the International Airport from Göcek. Many boats transfer their guests from here. The facility, which has a restaurant and café, is open during the daytime.
The beach, which also has sun loungers and a beach volleyball court, attracts a lot of attention, especially in the summer months.
Sarsala was formerly the pier of the “Hidiv Abbas Pasha Farm”, which covered the Dalaman Plain. Marble bollards from that time can be found at the docks and boats are moored. The road to Dalaman goes to Kocagöl after 4 kilometers. This path over the hills is a beautiful walking path.
Hidiv Abbas Pasha gave orders to the French construction company for the construction of a railway station in Alexandria and a mansion in Dalaman. There was a confusion while the materials for both constructions were coming by ship, and as a result, the materials required for the station building arrived in Dalaman. As a result, a station was built in Dalaman. The only building in the world that has a station but not a railway is in Dalaman. This station building is today used as an administrative building within the state breeding farm.
In the middle of the southern coast of Sarsala Bay, there is a small, charming, sheltered, almost private bay. This place is called “Little Sarsala Bay”. At the end of this charming bay covered with pine trees, there is a pier where 30 boats can be tied with a vault. The pier belongs to the restaurant behind it. It has a different atmosphere.
