Taşyaka Bay (Bedri Rahmi Bay)

It is a wide and perfect bay in the northwest of Taşyaka Island.

There are many places to stay safely in this bay surrounded by pine and olive trees. The rock tombs on the slopes are visible from everywhere. The depth of the bay continues all the way to the shores and suddenly decreases at the shore.

You can anchor 10-15 meters from all shores of the bay and buy seats from land. In the recess on the port side of the entrance, there is a restaurant with a capacity to moor 35 yachts. You can take a walk on a dirt road from here and see Dalman Airport behind from the hills.

Behind the northwest corner there is a small beach among the olive trees. By climbing a steep slope from this beach area, you can reach the Lycian tombs. From this location, the bay offers beautiful views from upper angles.

There is another restaurant at the end of Taşyaka Bay, among the olive trees and oleanders. The restaurant has a wooden pier with a capacity of 25 boats connected by a vault. There is a water source here that is said to be beneficial for the stomach. The water of this spring, which is also popular with local people, is collected in a concrete pool. There is a path from the beach area to the tops of the mountains. This road leads to Churchbelen Village.

There is a wooden pier on the starboard side of the entrance to Taşyaka Bay. There is a fountain where this pier is located. Behind the pier, there is a fish painting on a stone by the painter Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu, who started the first blue voyage in Göcek Bays years ago, and a kite mosaic by Azra Erhat, also painted on a stone. All boats make a stop at this pier to show both the rock tombs and these works of art. There is a water sports center right behind the pier.
