Today we have the opportunity to SAIL depending on our guests’ wishes and wind conditions…

Göbün Bay

Gobun Bay

It is the most sheltered of Göcek bays. The bay is closed to all weather conditions and is also a winter harbour. Many yachtsmen spend the winter here.

This sheltered but small and narrow bay is entered between two high hills. In fact, the entrance to the bay cannot be seen from afar unless you look carefully.

The depth decreases from the entrance. The average depth inside the harbor is between 5-7 meters. Anyway, the western side of the bay is completely shallow. It is said that there are ancient underwater ruins under this shallow.

Large boats cannot enter as there is no maneuvering space in the narrow harbour. The only place to stay at anchor is the inner part of the hill on the starboard side of the entrance. There is a small dock here. There are generally fixed boats. Maybe one or two boats can find space.

There is a restaurant opposite the entrance of Göbün Bay. This restaurant has long piers in front and on the port side of the entrance. Among these piers, where 40 boats can be vaulted, there is an old dock behind the eastern one.

This restaurant is the first restaurant in Göcek Bays. The restaurant, run by a diver from Kayaköy and his wife for years, is managed by his family by expanding their means. In the bay where there is no electricity connection, the restaurant’s electricity needs are met by solar energy panels and the battery groups they are connected to. The sound of the generator cannot be heard in the bay. Water sports service is also provided in the bay.
