Hamam Bay

Monastir Bay
It is a wide bay 1 mile southwest of Boz Burnu. The narrow shore in the west is where the Kapıdağ Peninsula connects to the land.
There are many beautiful and interesting shelters among the high hills covered with pine and olive trees. It is one of the farthest places from the center of Göcek. It is the place for those who want to rest their heads and stay calm, especially in the evenings. Since its backside is close to the open sea, it receives relaxing breezes. It is the coolest place in the region. For this reason, it is a place with heavy yacht traffic. Two of the places to stay in this natural wonder, unique bay is;
Hamam Bay
There is a half-ruined bathhouse in the waters at the bottom of the bay. It is said that this bath was built centuries ago by the king of the city on the hills. The shore fronts to the east of the bath are very deep. The bay is very crowded, especially during the day. Daily tour boats coming from Fethiye and Göcek stop here. Thousands of passengers jump into the waters and enter the bathhouse. The bay is really beautiful, the sea is clean. A road from the middle of the bay, through olive and pine trees, leads to a hill after 200 meters. From here you see the open seas and the magnificent Gökgemile Port under your feet. The view in the evening towards sunset cannot be described, it is recommended.
Kapı (Kale) Bay
As you pass from Hamam Bay to Kapı Bay towards the northwest, there are beautiful anchorages. The boats are stern-to-stern behind the small island of rocks.
The bay receives wind from the south and west hills and showers. But these breezes also protect and cool those staying in the bay, especially from the summer heat.
There is a restaurant on the starboard side of the entrance to the bay, with a wooden pier in front of it. 25 boats can be aboard at this pier in front of a shallow area.
In ancient times, there was a city on the Kapıdağ Peninsula. A thick wall built to protect this city extends from the bay to the hills. It is also possible to see the open sea from these hills.
Kapı Bay is a natural wonder with its safe shelter, clean sea, pleasant weather and lush green forests. Generally, yachtsmen stay in this bay for days.
